What is an e-visa?
- Application: The application process is completed entirely online, whereby the necessary data is entered and the fee is paid.
- Approval: Once approved, the e-visa will be sent by email or made available for download.
- Travel: Upon arrival in the destination country, the printed e-visa must be presented in order to receive confirmation (e.g. a stamp in the passport). It may also be necessary to carry the printed document with you throughout your stay.
- Proof: In some countries, the e-visa is digitally linked to your passport, so you no longer need physical proof. Immigration authorities can automatically verify your status.
- Convenience: You do not need to visit an embassy or consulate.
- Security: E-visas are digital, secure and cannot be lost, stolen or tampered with.
- Flexibility: You can submit your application from anywhere, at any time.
- Validity: Make sure your passport is valid for the duration of your stay. In some countries, your passport must be valid for at least six months.
- Correct information: Ensure that all the information you provide is correct, as errors may result in rejection or the need to submit a new application.
